Hooked on the massive potential of cryptocurrency, Jeremy Gardner attempts to redeem his drug-fueled past with a project born from the darkest corners of the internet – launching one of the world’s first crypto-tokens. Despite threats of jail time, lawsuits, and sex tapes, Jeremy must wrestle with the person he was, and the person he wants to be, all while fame, fortune, and reputation hang on the line.
SYNOPSIS
In a fit of rage a few years back, Jeremy Gardner’s father struck him across the face,“you will not set foot in my house ever again”, he told him. The bruise of his father’s punch on top of being kicked out of his own home fueled Jeremy, but not in the way his parents expected. Expelled from one high school, one college and arrested more times than he’d like to admit, the only thing Jeremy showed any promise in was entrepreneurship, which regrettably took the form of selling drugs during his teenage years.
SYNOPSIS
That was until, at 21 years old, Jeremy discovers something that will change his life forever: Bitcoin. Hooked on the massive potential of cryptocurrency, and eager for a shot at redemption, Jeremy embarks on a mission to launch his own crypto venture dubbed, Augur.
To everyone’s surprise, Augur raises $5.3 million by issuing its own crypto-token in what is one of the most successful, and quasi-legal, crowdfunding campaigns in history. Just two weeks after launch, the value of Augur skyrockets - accumulating billions of dollars in valuation, and making Jeremy a multi-millionaire overnight.

Closely based on the real life of Jeremy Gardner, Reputation, is a fictionalized, feature length film depicting Jeremy’s journey from delinquent teen to crypto-titan — showing how every misstep, rave, and mushroom trip played a key role in his remarkable ascent to fame and fortune.
More than that, this film is a millennial coming-of-age story. One that explores the psyche of the very people behind this new and often misunderstood subculture. Woven into its thrilling narrative are deeper questions around masculinity, adolescence, and the politics of privilege and power in today’s world.
Told from Jeremy’s perspective, Reputation is a rare glimpse into the suburban millennial archetype finding his way in the wild-west of technology.
